PUZZLEvents are very happy to announce the launch date of our 2nd Night LowEnd_DnB, All happening in the Commercial Boat Club,Woodquay, Galway on the 21st of January 2017.

We’ve waited a long time for this and we’ve made sure to kick off this night on the right bass heavy note by flying in the only DLR and MC Gusto preforming his new album Dreamland all behind the might of the SubVersion SoundSystem.
DLR is starting to become a common name in the minds of drum and bass heads around the World, but don’t be fooled, he’s been around pushing the sonic & technical boundaries of this music for some time now.

His 2012 collaborative album with Octane ‘Method in the Madness’ set the bar for drum and bass to come; featuring future club classics such as: ‘Set up the set’ & ‘Murmur’ (ft Break). After a string of singles, EP’s and remixes on established labels including: ’Symmetry Recordings’, ‘Utopia Music’, ‘Warm Communications’ & ‘Metalheadz’, ‘Dispatch Recordings’ presented DLR’s second album ‘Seeing Sounds’ in 2015, yet again pushing his signature sound to the forefront of underground rolling drum and bass.

2016 includes the release of his 3rd album on ‘Dispatch Recordings’ entitled ‘Dreamland’ as well as debuting his OneMind project with Mako. Their OneMind project sees them unveiling their live show and forthcoming album, contributing as the 4th full-length release DLR has under his belt so far and this time releasing on the mighty ‘Metalheadz’.

Playing a big part in an ever growing, moving and electric musical landscape in Bristol, DLR knows that this is no time to be slowing down, now is the time to push things even further striving to keep the sounds of minimal, rolling, tech funk at the forefront of the drum and bass sound spectrum. Be sure to catch one his performances as he tours the sounds of his new projects around the world, stopping off in destinations across Australasia, Japan, America, Europe and of course the UK.

In the overcrowded territory of Drum and Bass MC’s, Gusto stands out as something different. Inspired at an early age by the late 90s jungle sound, Gus started mc’ing along to mixtapes in the classroom and soon after picked up the mic at free parties and started performing on pirate stations Flashback and 2GFM. The reaction of the phone line during his early radio shows drove Gusto to gain greater exposure and he started mc’ing at events in South London alongside his original crew ‘Seismic Force’ whilst still at school.

Gusto appeared in many basement clubs, pubs and backrooms, but as the rep grew, Seismic Force curated events at GMT, The Paradise Bar and the legendary Brixton Mass.
Gusto continued building his reputation as an MC / host at his own right after moving to Leeds in 2004. He soon became an integral part of the burgeoning DnB scene in the North of at that time.

Gusto began performing every week at events like Central Beatz, Subdub and Metropolis alongside legends like Ed Rush, Goldie, ShyFX and hosting a weekly show on Frequency FM. In 2005, after replying to a newspaper ad, Gusto joined the award winning live DnB band Scassa Monakee. Working on EPs with the band and touring the country for 3 years introduced him to the recording studio to hone his unique lyrical / complimentary style. Alongside his work with the band, Gusto continued pushing his own sound and was soon playing at nights and festivals all over the UK.

Moving back to London in 2007, Gusto began working on solo material and started long standing collaborations with producers DLR, Ruckspin and Quark. Gusto continued his dedication to radio as well – beginning a Monday night residency on Force FM, which he continued until early 2010.

Alongside the studio work, Gusto continued a hectic performance schedule in the UK and, after appearing at the inaugural Outlook Festival in Croatia, began performing at events all over Europe.
Since appearing on the critically acclaimed ‘Transit One’ album from Dispatch Recordings in 2011, appearing on tracks ‘Red Mist’, ‘Gravity’ (Dispatch) and ‘Mainframe’ (Renegade Hardware) in 2012, Gusto is in demand from producers to lend his unique voice and perspective to tracks from the deeper side of DnB as well as solo material.

2016 finds Gusto back in the studio working on collaborations with several of the most influential producers in the scene, as well as holding down residencies in London, Eire, Germany and Croatia. Recognised by producers, DJs and promoters alike for his dedication and ability to connect with crowds, this year Gusto is set to continue forging his path in the drum and bass music.
